Bihar, Chirag Paswan (Social media)
National News: The political temperature in Bihar is soaring as assembly elections draw near, and one question has been on everyone’s mind – Who will sit on the Chief Minister’s chair once the votes are counted? In the middle of this uncertainty, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president and Union Minister Chirag Paswan has dropped a statement that has caught everyone’s attention and may have ended the suspense.
While addressing reporters in Srirampur, Chirag Paswan made his position crystal clear. He said that once the election results are declared, the NDA alliance will form the government, and Nitish Kumar will once again take charge as the Chief Minister of Bihar.
According to Chirag, there is no confusion anymore: “The next government will be NDA’s, and Nitish Kumar will lead it. This is settled.”
This stand is particularly surprising because, just a short time ago, Chirag Paswan had been openly attacking the Nitish government. He had slammed the administration for failing to control crime in the state. He even went so far as to say that supporting such a government felt “shameful.”
However, his tone has now changed entirely. By calling Nitish Kumar the clear choice for Chief Minister, Chirag has signaled that he is backing the NDA fold firmly and remains in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Political experts see Chirag’s fresh statement as more than just an endorsement—they view it as a strategic message of unity within the NDA.
Chirag’s announcement points strongly to one conclusion—if the NDA secures victory, Nitish Kumar will continue as Bihar’s Chief Minister. Yet, those familiar with Bihar’s unpredictable politics warn, “Things can shift suddenly here. Only the final results will tell if this chapter is truly closed.”
